The AWL01/45/60 is designed to control tower lamps as outlined in Chapter 6 of the International civil Aviation organization (ICAO) annex 14 volume 1. The panel main features is it can be set to control lamps for both 45mtetrs and below, and 60metres and above. This has obvious advantages on inventory levels a user has to maintain. Other features include alarm reporting for lamp failure, daylight switch failure and power failure.
Most controllers are built to have the lamps stay on for 24 hours in the event of a day light switch failure. The AWL01/45/60 has an intrinsic design which should the daylight switch fail, a micro-processor controlled real time clock takes over the control of switching the lamps. The ON and OFF times are easily set by the user on the controller keyboard.
